How to do if your WELOCK smart lock battery dies?

How do WELOCK Smart Locks get power?

 

The WELOCK smart lock is battery powered and requires three standard AAA batteries. So you need to replace the batteries regularly, the frequency of replacement depends on the usage, and there will be a low battery indicator on the lock and WELOCK APP.
The typically lifespan of battery is usually 10-12 months, depending on the usage frequency and battery quality, it is recommended to use good quality batteries to prolong the life.

Low battery warning

 

To make sure you are well-informed about the battery status and can replace batteries promptly, when the battery level of the WELOCK door lock drops below 20%, a low battery warning will be displayed on the lock itself.

Additionally, if WELOCK lock cylinder is bound to the WELOCK app, a low battery notification will also be shown within the app,and the battery icon above the unlock button changes from green to red.

                           

 

What to Do if the Battery Dies?

 

Don't Worry! If your WELOCK smart lock runs out of power,you have the following options to re-unlock your lock:

1. Replace the battery: Just change the old battery for a new one. Refer to the user manual or installation video for instructions.

2. USB Emergency Backup Unlock: You need to prepare a power bank and a USB cable, insert them into the lock's USB port, and then open the WELOCK APP to unlock the device. This temporary power solution allows you to unlock the lock without replacing the battery right away. For more detailed instructions, please refer to the following video

Battery Maintenance Tips

 

Check and replace your WELOCK Smart Lock's batteries on a regular basis to preserve its longevity and  smooth operation. This will help prevent you from entering the house due to battery failure.

The door lock's low battery indicator or the WELOCK APP can be used to determine whether the batteries are low.

Optionally, you can use high-quality batteries for optimal performance.
